San Jose is the 10th most populous city in the United States. First settled in 1797, San Jose was California’s first city and state capitol. The city underwent a mass revitalization in the 1980s that saw the rise of new office and retail space, condos, hotels, parks, museums, and theaters.

Los Gatos is in the foothills of the Santa Cruz Mountains and has been recognized as the number 33rd wealthiest city in the United States. It is home to many high-tech companies, most notably Netflix. Downtown Los Gatos features local restaurants, boutique shopping and a quaint small-town feel.

Los Altos is located in the southern part of the San Francisco Bay peninsula. It is an affluent residential community with very strict commercial zones limited to a small downtown area with local restaurants and boutiques.

Palo Alto is located in the northwest corner of Santa Clara County. It is most well known for being the home of the prestigious Stanford University. It is also the site of corporate headquarters such as Hewlett Packard, Tesla Motors, Skype and Palantir Technologies.

Sunnyvale is a primarily suburban community that boasts terrific schools, numerous parks and recreational areas, and a small-town feel in the heart of Silicon Valley.

Santa Clara is centrally located in Silicon Valley, sandwiched between Sunnyvale, Cupertino, and San Jose. Its name dates back to its founding as a Spanish mission. It is the site of the prestigious Santa Clara University.

The city of Campbell, formerly a small farming town, has grown into a bustling suburban community. Originally the site of dozens of fruit orchards, it’s most popular fruit was the prune.

Cupertino is most widely known for being home to Apple, Inc. headquarters. The city is the cite of the company’s new “spaceship campus” set to open in 2017. Cupertino has been ranked in Forbes’ top 10 most educated cities in the United States.
